The single cash and pay-as-you-go PRESTO fares for youths and adults will be increasing by 10-cents on April 3, 2023. The fares for seniors, Fair Pass Transit Discount Program users and monthly pass customers will remain the same as they have been since 2019.
Revenue from this fare increase, in addition to the City of Toronto’s proposed subsidy to the TTC of $958.7 million, will help us ensure the system is reliable, safe and accessible for all Torontonians.

Customers are also able to purchase a TTC Monthly Downtown Express Pass. This pass provides unlimited travel across the TTC per month, including the five Downtown Express bus routes. The TTC Monthly Downtown Express Pass costs $201.90 for adults, $174.05 for youths/seniors, $169.15 for Fair Pass customers and $166.90 for post-secondary students. TTC Monthly Passes are final sale.
The TTC Monthly Pass is transferable, however the pass can only be transferred after a person using it has exited the TTC transit system. No "Pass Back" allowed. Penalty for misuse.
Seniors/Youth/Post-Secondary Students: Your Monthly Pass is valid only with the appropriate PHOTO ID. You can lend your transferable Monthly Pass to another Senior, Youth or Post-Secondary Student when you are not travelling with it.
How do I purchase the TTC 12 Month Pass?
Before you can purchase the TTC 12 Month Pass or 12 Month Downtown Express Pass, you need a PRESTO card and a My PRESTO Account.
Seniors/youths must set a senior/youth fare type on their PRESTO card before they can purchase a 12 Month Pass. You can set your senior/youth fare type at select Shoppers Drug Mart locations or at the TTC’s Customer Service Centre at 1900 Yonge Street. You must bring government issued photo identification with you.
The pass is available for sale from the last 12 days of the month until eight days after the start of the month they are valid for.
